Schmetz Needles, founded in 1851,
offers one of the most comprehensive needle product range for 10
market segments.
Due to the small size of needles, conventional photography is limited in perfectly capturing the product. Capture suggested the approach to create 3D digital models of the needles and dress them with realistic texture. To realize the smooth and shiny surface transitions we used Lightwave's Nurbs modeling.
To ensure a precise conversion of the shapes into digital grids, engineers of Schmetz worked close with our animators.
The result are photo realistic animations for the comprehensive product range as well as well as high quality pictures for print purposes.
