Vakuum - Vacuum
Vacuum is an ambitious feature length Science Fiction production.
Writer/director Thomas Grampp envisioned a world with elaborate f/x
shots in almost very scene. A few post production companies were
involved to realize this vision as were the Capture branches in Berlin
and Aachen. The project included 3D and compositing tasks.
For a scene (see pictures on right) we created trees, including their leaf texture, planted in large pots. A glass-house-sphere was mounted on each tree. The f/x works included techniques such as Tracking, Keying and Rotoscoping. We also applied color grading.
