Holmes is a data management
application designed to detect, track and analyze criminal activities.
Holmes' marketing is geared towards corporate clients who deal with
piracy and copyright violations. Holmes also provides effective tools
for law enforcement agencies to analyze terrorists and
illegal weapon trade activities. Holmes gathers investigation data
from observations, interrogations,
phone surveillances, etc. The data is then analyzed and connections
between events are displays in a lucid GraphEditor as well as a
timeline to unveil links between criminal activities and help
investigator to detect and track down criminal endeavors.
Capture had to create a film which conveys and clarifies the complex feauture and functions of the Homles software in a lucid manner. The film opens with emotional images to set the viewer into the mood of the subject matter. To illustrate functions and features of the software interface, Capture created 2D and 3D visualizations, shot new footage, used stock footage and stills. The concept was conjointly developed with the software developer and handled entirely in-house.
